Tutor: Brendan Murray

Outline of Course: pakana man Brendan (Beau) Murray will be taking participants on a journey into the ‘Deep Time’ history of lutruwita/Tasmania. Brendan is currently within his Bachelor of History at University of Tasmania in Burnie.

He will also share his wealth of knowledge around lutruwita’s original history and how his people utilised the land, sea, coastlines, fresh water ways/rivers and sky country.

Brendan’s 4th-great-grandfather is bunganna/mannalargenna and Brendan will share a few stories from what he knows about bunganna.

Brendan is from the great nation of trawlwoolway, northeast coast of lutruwita/Tasmania, bunurong and Irish.

Brendan is also a Cape Barren Islander who are the ‘Moon-Bird People’, and Brendan will share his knowledge around Mutton Birding the traditional way, the Islander way!
