Outline of course:  A talk, supported by visuals, which explores a number of themes relevant to Penguin’s history. It will start by correcting some common misconceptions about the early years of settlement. It will touch on the influence of religion, military traditions and the multi-cultural nature of the community. Finally it will refer to prominent former citizens and consider some of the most significant changes over the years.
